Do:
- Provide the link to your "Commerce" post in your trade thread. If you're using the Forum Guidelines for compiling a trade thread, the commerce post is the 4th post in your thread.
- Be detailed when stating why a person deserved a positive or negative rating.
- Give the other person notice of their rating beforehand. The site provides the user a PM for trader notification, but doing so personally is also recommended.
-Use common sense.
Don't:
- Jump the gun in giving negative rating. Negative rating should only be given to users who did not send cards, or did not send cards as advertised and the condition is unacceptable. Use your best judgment. Someone backing out of a trade before any cards even exchanged hands is not worthy of a negative rating.
- Be vague. By giving detailed information on a trade with a user, it benefits both you and the trader. This gives others more insight into the type of trader you are.
- Use the Trader Rating System as a rep system. That's not what it's for. We have disabled the Karma/Rep system on our site for various reasons, and this is not to be used as replacement for that. Ratings are to only be given based on the kind of trade that took place, not as a form of retaliation when you don't get the rating you liked. If you got your cards and he didn't, rate accordingly. Not emotionally.
