Some of you may not be familiar with the Deck Master concept. This was a variant of the card game in the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime that allowed players to choose a monster from their deck to act as their Deck Master. The Deck Master had special abilities which altered the gameplay from the traditional TCG, granting advantages that the monster didn't have in traditional gameplay.

You may have seen this used somewhat in some Yu-Gi-Oh video games, such as Duelist of the Roses. The variation makes for a refreshing change of pace, although not an official form of gameplay in any capacity.

One of our own CookieSlayers, Maruno, has put together the largest collection of Deck Master abilities to date, 537 in total, with more being added periodically. Their is an accompanying Yahoo Group where discussion and announcements take place.
