Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG forum rules

The following is a list of rules for UDE Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Judge Forums:

This forum is for Yu-Gi-Oh! judge-related questions. You are welcome to post rulings questions, however please make sure that you search the forum archives before posting to reduce the workload of our Forum Moderators and UDE Staff. Please note that while the Forum Moderators will try to answer rules questions on this forum – they will do so as a courtesy to the people on the forum. Please wait until at least three days before posting the question again.

This forum is moderated. This means that when you post a question, it will go into a queue for the Forum Moderators to review and answer. Sometimes they will delete your post and answer privately. For this reason, it is important to keep your email updated on the forums.

All rules questions will be answered by official sources only. We have two Forum Moderators selected for this – Curtis Schultz and Steve Okegawa. In addition to that various Upper Deck Entertainment employees will occasionally make official announcements on these forums. These people will usually sign off with their name and their official job title at the end of the message.

You are welcome to join any “judging philosophy” discussion on these forums if you have something meaningful to add. This will be especially applicable to higher-level judges who will be expected to contribute to the community. Please note that a Forum Moderator may ask for a discussion of a particular topic to be closed if it appears that people are going over the same issues and are not bringing anything meaningful to the discussion.

Please do not ask questions regarding card interactions that have not been officially released in United States. We are only able to support rulings on cards up to the current set released in US. If you are a judge in Japan please use the appropriate mailbox listed at: http://www.yugioh-card.com/japan/index.html

Please do not ask questions regarding time frames or approximate release dates of any programs related to Organized Play. We will post release dates that are confirmed, however it is often difficult for us to predict when something specific will be released.

If you think that a Forum Moderator made a mistake, please message or email them privately so that they can sort it out. Occasionally Forum Moderators will make a mistake – they are only human after all – however private messages will prevent the flooding of the forums with the same correction. The Forum Moderator issuing an incorrect ruling will then post a correction to the thread.

Please take the time to learn the use of archive features of this forum. Most of the questions about card interactions can be answered by running a simple search for key words in the title of the thread. Please facilitate the use of this feature by using concise and meaningful subjects while initiating a new threads on the forum.

A fiend deck is like a lightsaber. Only a master can wield it without lopping off a limb.
